*~ My 21st Birthday @ Frames (Part II) ~*

Now you know why this place is called Frames.

Love this to the max. As if a real flower were put on top of the frame.

Inside the restaurant itself is quite small. There were only two rows of tables, meanwhile most of the tables were actually outside. We occupied half of the tables available in the restaurant but at the end of the day, we had everything for ourselves like i was having my own private function there.

With boyfriend and Lim.

Jenny and Jennifer, sisters from the same high school as me. It is such a coincidence that Jenny also knows boyfriend's friends (Chin Looi and Nicole) since there are taking the same course in college. Even Jennifer also knows them. Too much following her sister to hang out with the friends.

My bestie, Sook Leng and my long-lost friend, Pui Mun.

Oh well, i was supposed to blow out the candles but right before that, i received a call. And yea, everyone was waiting for me.

With dearest boyfriend.

:)

Someone was trying to seek revenge on what i did to him last year.

In the end, he still got back from me.

Both of us again.

Some group pictures.

High school mates.

Bottom L-R: Kimberly, me and Pui Ling.

Coursemates in degree
Top L-R: Andew, Wei-I, Seak Ling

Oh well, everyone except for Wei-I was once from my foundation course too.

Boyfriend's friends who are also now become my own friends.

Bottom L-R: Amanda , me, Chin Looi, Nicole.

Very sisterhood picture.

21 of us on my 21st birthday.
I did not plan for this. It was just a coincidence.

The candid one.

Yours truly,

~* My 21st Birthday @ Frames (Part I) *~

As promised previously that i would post the pictures from my 21st birthday celebration at Frames, TTDI. This post will only focus on the food.

Gratin which was made specially for me.

Calamari rings.

Mushroom soup.
I like the garlic toasts that served together with the soup. Thin, crunchy and strong garlic smell.

Ceasar salad.

Oopss... i have forgotten the name for this salad.

My favourite balsamic salad!
Surprisingly, mushrooms and chicken meat were more than the leaves. As if the leaves were there for decoration purpose. Heart this.

Some fish and the vege just did not go well with the fish at all.
As if the fish and the vege were two different dishes.

The classic fish and chips.

Burger!!!!!

Okay, let's move on to the pasta section.

Classic Cabonara.

Diablo.

Spicy Cabonara.
It was something like Diablo except that this used cream as the base meanwhile Diablo was an olive-oil-based pasta. Personally, i prefer this over Diablo.

Bolognese.
Wei-I gave a thumb up for this.

Pesto pasta.

My complementary Tiramisu.
Soooooooooo soft...

*~ This Is What I Call A Good Customer Service ~*

Before this, i kept on changing my mind on where to celebrate my 21st birthday. Boyfriend noticed about it. Friends also noticed about it. Finally, i decided to have it at Frames, TTDI after viewing Michelle Tan's blog. I did further online research and i really fell in love with the place and then the food.

Okay, the decision on the venue was final! One of the things i wanted to try so badly was the gratin. However, when i went to check out the place last Saturday, i could not find that item in the menu! I went to its website and i left a message there asking if i had missed it out or the item had been permanently removed from the menu.

Before the dinner.

Few days later, i got an unexpected call from this dude. Xanthus is his name. He is also the owner of Frames besides Mark. Yea, i came across his name when i read some reviews but when he called me, i just never expected that. That was why i kept on repeating, "Pardon?" on the phone. He told me that the menu has changed. However, if i really wanted to try, he would prepare the gratin for me.

After the call, i wondered for awhile how he got to know my number when i used the name "Autumn" in the chatbox and "Michelle" when i did the booking. Oh ya! I remembered. I mentioned that i reserved a table for 20 in the chatbox. How many people would actually book a table of 20 on the same day?

The next thing i knew, he texted me. Knowing that i am a chocolate lover, the house would like to buy me a slice of the dark chocolate cake. Again, i wondered. How he knew about that? Oh okay! In the chatbox, my nickname is actually linked to my blog. But actually, my profile states that i like chocolate milk lover. Anyway, when it comes to cakes, yes, i still love chocolate besides cheese cakes.

During the dinner.

Rather than dark chocolate cake, i got a slice of Tiramisu. It was on the house, of course. Then, someone just came and wished me, "Happy Birthday." :) To double confirm who was the one that called me, who was the one that wished me, and who is Xanthus, i asked the waiter there. Yeah, so Xanthus was the one who called me and he was also the one who wished me. By the way, i saw some of his buddies watching the Oprah's flash mob if i had not mistaken. Nice lerr???

After dinner.

He texted me again saying, "Thank you," and wishing me, "Happy Birthday".

This totally reminds me on what i have studied throughout my course. You know, those pre-sales, during sales and post sales stuffs? I just feel great! You know, there are just some people who look at you one kind before deciding on what service to give you? Better service will be given if you look loaded with cash or vice versa. But it was so different at Frames. It's not that i am rich and treating everyone, but the service was just too good for me to appreciate regardless of how much the spending was.

It was truly a memorable birthday celebration for me there together with boyfriend and a bunch of friends.

There will be pictures in Facebook soon. However, i will still continue posting the pictures here once i get all the pictures especially from the one with the DSLR camera *ahem* Gorgan *ahem* by end of next week with all the food and human pictures. Stay with me. :)

I would like to thank everyone for making my 21st birthday celebration a memorable one. Mum, bro, bro's girlfriend, boyfriend and a big bunch of friends. Most of my wishes have come true :)

~* M-Tan Is Leaving *~

Michelle Tan is leaving to UK on Monday! Initial plan was to meet up with her tomorrow, assuming that i would be celebrating my birthday. Yea, it supposed to be a surprise. But, we had a strong feeling that she would not turn up tomorrow due to her busy schedule. Hence, we called her out for breakfast today hoping that there would be no chance for her to say no. She did turn up today! The breakfast session was at McDonald's.

My Happy Meal.
Besides the toy, i got a small bottle of yoghurt drink for free!
The yoghurt drink tasted very awful! Eew!

Ooo... I love the muffin so much!

My free toy.
I played with it the whole day in college to release stress.

For the rest who had the McValue Breakfast Set, they got a bottle of this for free!
Is McDonald's loaded with freebies nowadays?

Only the four of us.
Seak Ling, me, Michelle Tan, Sharon.

Michelle Tan with the gift we got for her.
A thermos flask to keep herself warm there.
We got the right gift for her as she almost wanted to buy that.

After having breakfast with her, it was time for the torture: Classes.

~* Simple Picnic *~

My Saturday began weirdly. I stayed up the whole night doing assignment and waiting to be fetched. I ended up being fetched by boyfriend's friend, Sim at almost 4.30 a.m. after they all attended a clubbing session. Even my mom already woke up at that time. It was still better than i walked alone to the train station at 6.00 a.m. and travelled all the way to Wangsa Maju. It's really dangerous to walk to the train station as early as that.

Yeap, i invaded boyfriend's house while other people were still sleeping. We were supposed to stay up until 7 a.m. before meeting a bunch of friends. But boyfriend could not stand it any longer and he fell asleep. So did i. We ended up having one hour of nap.

He looked like a dead fish on that morning.

Friends decided to go to Kepong Metropolitan Park to give May Jean a surprise for her birthday.

The three musketeers.

Nicole who looked as if she had really prepared for a real picnic.

Me, Chin Looi and Amanda.

Gentlemen.

Ladies.

Everyone!

We were supposed to have brisk walking but we ended up eating cake and jumping up and down for pictures. Loads of pictures on Facebook.

Next, we went to a shop nearby to have Bak Kut Teh. Having Bak Kut Teh in the morning as breakfast is becoming a trend.

Promoting Double A.

Tea, anyone?

Yau Char Kuey.
Fried breadstick.

Tau foo pok.

The main course!
Heart the intestine and pork belly.

Yum yum!

Some of us really searched for those "spare parts" in the pots of Bak Kut Teh.

*~ The Night Before Merdeka ~*

I still remember that night i was staying at home doing assignment without any further plan. Boyfriend? Attended Juliana's birthday celebration at her house which is very near to his area. Later on, i got a call from Amanda asking me to join the fun. Yea, she dragged Lim and boyfriend together and came all the way to my house from Wangsa Maju just to pick me up to the party. So nice of her.

The first thing i did the moment i entered her house.

Asam laksa as appetiser.

Here came the main course. No, not my boyfriend, but the chicken wings.

The wonder of honey on everything we grilled.

So cool that we could enjoy ourselves on the roof. Anyway, the roof is still alright.

Girls.
Top: Juliana and Amanda
Bottom: Chin Looi, me, Cynthia, Nicole and May Jean

Guys.
Khoo, boyfriend and Lim.

Malibu, but i don't really love the coconut taste.

Yea, we could even lie down on the roof.

Boyfriend and i were enjoying the view at the back. Meanwhile, the rest were busy eating, chatting and camwhoring.

Enjoying the sky at night with boyfriend.
