Sigh! Another very backdated post. Not going to comment in order to be fair. As far as i concern, my friends and i were pretty satisfied with the dinner at Market Hall in Pavilion, especially the portion of each serving (excluding the Gnocchi).

Tomato, mozzarella, garlic, anchovies, fresh chili, prawns and arugula.

Fresh salmon tossed in vodka, citrus zest and mascarpone cream sauce.

Fresh crab meat and chilli wine sauce.

Spinach and ricotta dumpling tossed in roasted pumpkin sauce.

*~ Crumbs @ Pavilion ~*

Yay! Crumbs is finally here in Pavilion! I did not manage to have this when i was in Hong Kong. Now, i can have it whenever i want!

House Crumbs was free. Since i opted for a large cup of frozen yogurt, i could choose two more toppings. I had the original mochi and mini meringue. The mini meringue had nothing to shout about. The mochi, on the other hand, was nice to chew with the frozen yogurt. House Crumbs was the best. I think i can just have the frozen yogurt with just the crumbs... and more crumbs... and more crumbs...!

I wanted to have another cup immediately after i finished the first one but bf stopped me. Sigh.

I will be back for more!

*~ Ice-cream Fondue @ Baskin Robbins ~*

God! This picture was taken on this year's Valentine's Day! I really have to be more active in blogging nowadays.

So yea, we finally tried ice-cream fondue for once in our life. And, we don't think we will try again in near future. Nothing to shout about. But, i might give it a try again if it is from Haagen Daz. :)

*~ 7 Sins of Chocolate ~*

I heard too much about this little treat. I wished it could be my birthday cake though it was small, equivalent to a slice of cake. And lovely bf made my wish came true.

I like the packaging. Cute.

With 7 different components of chocolates.

But i don't really know what are the 7 components. I can't really find info on this little treat except for the following:

"...starts with a layer of smooth chocolate ganache, a layer of chocolate cake, topped up with light and airy milk chocolate mousse, a dusting of cocoa powder, a sprinkle of crunchy pure cocoa nibs for texture, and couverture pearls resting comfortably over the top!"

I think the chocolate ganache is now the middle layer rather than the chocolate cake.

"And for all those ladies who are watching their diets, yes it is made entirely of chocolate, but mostly dark chocolate. So if calories are your enemy, then fear not for dark chocolate has significantly less calories than other chocolates AND is a must for a happy healthy heart!"

Looking at it, i could only observe 6 components and i don't know where was the other component. Perhaps, it had been mixed with another component. It was below my expectation. It was not as sinful as the name suggests. It did not give me the excitement. It was not sweet. So, for those who prefer eating something which is not sweet, this can be a suggestion but not a recommendation. Honestly, it was totally bland, especially the mousse.

Of course, i felt it was so sweet in my heart because it was from my dear. :)

~* All The Way From Taiwan *~

I told Ms Chan about this bubble tea all the way from Taiwan at Pavilion after reading Taufulou's blog. So, when we were there on the first day of Raya, we decided to give it a try.

Honey Lemon Aloe and Yakult Green Tea.

I love my Honey Lemon Aloe because it could quench my thirst at that time and it had lots of aloe vera bits. But Ms Chan preferred drinking her Yakult Green Tea. To me, it tasted like antibiotic liquid. However, i must admit that the bubbles (pearls) were really nice! No half-cooked pearls. Not too big. Not too chewy.

*~ Final 3.6 Tea Time ~*

Wednesday was the last day for the 3.6 Tea Time promotion at Starhill. Initially i did not plan to go until i had a mystery guest who wanted to give it a try. I can't really reveal who was the mystery guest because this is just not the time yet. Anyway, we were at Shook! first when the tea time promotion started.

Deep-fried Seafood Fritters with Chili Dip.

Perhaps, i was too busy doing the talking and so i did not realise any seafood in it. To me, it tasted like the usual cucur. That's all!

Grilled Cumberland 8-inch Sausage with Mashed Potato and Onion Sauce.

The sausage was similar to the one i had at Fisherman's Cove, very juicy inside. Meanwhile the mashed potato had some cheesy taste in it. Now i know why some of my friends preferred the mashed potato over the sausage.

Banana Pancake with Maple Syrup and Baskin Robbins Ice-cream.

Nothing much about the taste except that it had banana bits in the pancake. Some people ordered this because of the ice-cream. The price for one scoop of the ice-cream was similar to the price of this item.

Spaghetti with Seafood Tomato Sauce.

My friend told me that anything with prawn would be nice. Hence, we ordered one of the items with prawns. True enough. This spaghetti was nice and the prawns were sweet and fresh.

We were there for less than 45 minutes and nothing much in the menu that could make us stay. Thus, we decided to go to another restaurant offering the same promotion. And i only had Pak Loh Chiu Chow left in my list. Pak Loh Chiu Chow is just located next to Fisherman's Cove and we could see many people were queuing for Fisherman's Cove.

Porridge served with Pan-fried Minced Pork with Salted Fish.

The portion was just very pathetic even though the the minced pork tasted quite delicious.

Fried Rice with Preserved Palm and Minced Pork.
Bahh... nothing to shout about.

Chiu Chow Dry Noodles with Slow-Braised Duck Fillet.

Presentation was unimpressive but it was actually very delicious. The best out of the three items we ordered at Pak Loh Chiu Chow.

~* 3.6 Tea Break @ Luk Yu Tea House*~

Mum and i had tea time at Luk Yu Tea House in Starhill for the 3.6 Tea Time promotion after my last visit with bf to Fisherman's Cove.

Steam Egg Chee Cheong Fun

I prefer the one i tried at Newton Culture Food Village in Malacca which had better texture in sweet sauce, chili sauce, spring onion and sesame.

Deep-Fried Prawns served with Salad.

Err... It was supposed to be "served with mayonnaise." Misleading name in the menu. A normal dim sum shop does a better job in this. It was not hot enough. It was not crispy enough. Instead, the side where the wrapping skin met was a little bit hard.

Chicken Bundle with Four Varieties

Ooo. Love this. The sweet juice just oozed out when i took a bite. A simple and delicious dim sum with a hint of mushroom taste.

Beancurd Skin Roll served with Oyster Sauce

Another simple and delicious dim sum! The oyster sauce was different than the one used for home cooking.

Baked Sweet Yam Puff

The dim sum that i was so eager to try! It reminds me of Teochew mooncake with flaky pastry skin. No matter how much i love this, having one was enough because of the stomach discomfort i had. Anyway, this was really nice with its not overly sweet yam paste and flaky pastry skin. Not forgetting, it involved effortless biting! Sooooooo soft!

Fried Rice Vermicelli

... with generous amount of ingredients! And it tasted like Singaporean Fried Rice Vermicelli even though it did not look like one. Mum enjoyed eating this!

Mum knew it would cost RM3.60 ++ (RM4.15 after taking into consideration the taxes) per item. But somehow, she got shocked when the total bill came to RM29.00 for 7 items, including mum's Cappuccino. Nice treat for mum on her birthday without burning a hole in the wallet.

~* Amazing 3.6 Tea Break *~

Bf and i had our 3.6 Tea Break at Feast Village, Starhill. We skipped our lunch just for this! RM3.60 ++ for selected items from 3 to 6 pm at 4 participating restaurants. My friend dined with her family at Shook! which is one of the participating restaurant and she posted some pictures in Facebook. However, the food did not interest me much except for the Banana Pancake with Maple Syrup and Baskin Robbins Ice-cream. At the same time, the other two participating Chinese restaurants were not my priorities. But Fisherman's Cove was!

Bf and i shared this Cranberry Mojito (mocktail) which tasted like some fruity toothpaste.

Carrot and Pumpkin Cream Soup with Buttered Crouton which bf and i gave 2 thumbs up for this! If i am going there again before the promotion ends 30th June 2010, i will definitely order this again!

Deep-fried Calamari with Garlic Mayonnaise. I had nothing to shout about the taste because it was very common. But the portion served was worth more than the RM3.60++ i paid.

Charcoal Grilled Cumberland Chicken Sausage.

It was quite salty but at the same time, very juicy inside.

Charcoal Grilled Lamb Shoulder with Potato Wedges.

Forget about the tasteless potato wedges. I was very amazed when i only had to pay RM3.60++ for a huge slab of lamb shoulder. Underneath this lamb shoulder had another two more smaller pieces of lamb shoulder. When it came to taste wise, it was average. Again, i just paid RM3.60++ for a huge slab of lamb shoulder. Hence, no complaint.

Carbonara Pasta with Sauteed Button Mushroom which was not over creamy. However, i did not see any sauteed button mushroom, except for some beef bacon bits. Since i don't take beef, i had to let bf had the portion with the bacon beef. Meanwhile, i only had the pasta.

I was quite disappointed when i could not have the Banana Pancake with Maple Syrup and Baskin Robbins Ice-Cream at Shook! because bf and i had to go for a movie. Oh well, hopefully i will be able to drop by at Feast Village again for tea time before the promotion ends.

*~ Satisfying Lunch @ Sushi Zanmai ~*

Alright, so i had lunch with Pui Yen on Saturday before going to Snowflake. While we were waiting for the table, a lady approached and gave us 3 RM10 Sushi Zanmai vouchers which could only be used one at a time if the total bill had exceeded RM50 at Low Yat Plaza Sushi Zanmai. The lady thought there were a lot of people that she and her friend had to wait for a long time before getting in. The truth was those people crowded at the waiting area were actually about to leave. They waited for the bills to be settled. So, we decided to use one of the vouchers. We chose what to eat very carefully so that we did not order and spend too much.

I had all the salmon roes since PuiYen dislikes it. Whee...!

... which was quite tasteless on that day. I added in more sweet sauce than usual. I love this kind of rice with its sauce and onion. And i would further add in the sweet sauce. Yes, i love the sweet sauce to the max!

Something different since the rest of the food we ordered were involving sushi rice, sushi rice and sushi rice.

Two more vouchers to go and the expiry date is on 31st August 2010! :)

Good thing that i have only 2 days of classes per week in this semester and i just need to spend on transportation in the morning because i seldom have lunch in college and Sharon always gives me a lift back home. Hence, i could spend slightly more during the weekend and still have some leftover money to save provided i have no necessity to buy.

~* Ocha Balls @ Snowflake *~

I met up with Pui Yen today after her work. We had lunch at Sushi Zanmai. I will post about it soon. Then, we had dessert at Snowflake in Pavilion after walking for nearly 2 hours. To tell you the truth, i think we spent our time sitting and eating than walking around. Going out with is like this unless one or both of us really want to buy something.

~* espresSOUP @ Berjaya Times Square *~

Finally, i had the chance to visit espresSOUP at Berjaya Times Square! I seldom visit Berjaya Times Square recently even though i live quite near to it. Most of the time, i would just pass by on my way home without any intention to dine or shop there.

I wanted to try the pumpkin soup but it was not in the menu today. So, Pui Yen and i had clam chowder instead which is also one their best-sellers. Yes, i really love the soup to the max! It was so sweet and at the same time, so rich with the taste of clams! I got so addicted to the soup until i wanted to have another one. However, if you don't like the fishy taste of seafood, you might not want to have this.


Meanwhile, the bread bowl is made of rye which they claim is healthy and no added oil or sugar. But i don't really like it because i found it too dry and i still don't like it after dipping into the soup. Perhaps, the bread is meant to be that dry so that it is more solid and able to hold the soup in it for a longer time but i still don't like it.

Oh well, it still does not stop me from visiting the kiosk in the future. I will just order the soup without the bread bowl. I can't wait to try the pumpkin soup!!!
