~* Delicious Seafood @ Tak Fok *~

Two weeks ago, i was at Tak Fok Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant in Kepong for dinner with bf and friends. Altogether there were 8 of us but we ended up ordering 9 dishes, including 3 crab dishes. For every 2 dishes, we were entitled to order 1 kg of crab at a cheaper price, RM 22. (2 months ago, it was RM20 per kilo as per the reviews written in May.) However, 2 of the dishes could be considered as a starter and side order.

Yam Basket
Nothing much.

Piping hot Fried Maan Tau
Love having this with the crab gravy.

Stir Fried Kangkung

Lala in Superior Stock.
The "gei zhi" made the soup sweeeeet. The "dong guai" made the soup aromatic. The ginger made the soup hot! Nice!

Yee Mee in Cheese Gravy
Okay, something new to me. Unlike carbonara, it was not very cheesy and creamy. Hence, it would not make one feeling full (or jelak) sooooo fast!

Mongolian Fried Squid
This restaurant is famous for the cheap crab dishes. Instead of loving the crab, i love this dish the most!!! Sour with a hint of black pepper taste. Sooooo appetizing.

The following is the 3 crab dishes we had:

Salted Egg Crab.
I don't really like this. I prefer crabs that are drenched with gravy.

Cheese Crab.
The same gravy used for the yee mee. Like i mentioned earlier, it did have the cheese taste but not too rich and creamy which is a good thing in this case. Not all the food with cheese must be rich and creamy to be delicious. Also, i love the way these crabs were drenched with gravy.

Claypot Creamy Butter Crab.
Ooooo... My favourite crab dish. The gravy was thicker than but not as much as the cheese gravy. It was a last minute order when few of us were still not satisfied with the crabs we had earlier even though already feeling very full. And since we had 6 dishes, we could have the third kilo of crab at cheaper price. Thus, why not? Oh well, we should have ordered this at the beginning when it could be even more "delicious" when everyone was hungry.

The bill came up to RM205 for the 8 of us. Looking at the variety of food we had, it was definitely worth it.
