~* Sinful German Food @ Brotzeit *~

Okay! It was bf's birthday at the end of December last year. I knew bf always wanted to try German sausages. Bangsar Babe's post on Brotzeit at Mid Valley had made up my mind to take him there. I really loved her opinion. Besides myself, i believed that bf would also love whatever she had recommended. So, i did order as per Bangsar Babe's opinions.

We had one Mango Affensaft. Weissbier with mango juice. Suitable for those who would like to try beer but dislike the bitter taste of it.

Garlic Pork Sausages served with sauerkraut and potato to fulfill bf's dream.

Cheese Spatzle. German version of Mac & Cheese. I would recommended to share than finishing it on your own. Otherwise, you would feel "jelak." I like the shallots on top of it :)

Spicy Bacon Pizza. It was totally loaded with bacon bits besides there were also other ingredients such as chili, onion, sliced cherry tomato and cheese. It was a very sinful pizza but i don't mind ordering this again in the future.

We finished everything except for the pizza. The leftover pizza was taken away and become our supper. Bf and i were very satisfied with the meal. If i get a chance to go there again with a group of friends, i will love to try their super long pork ribs!

*~ Memory Lane @ Reminisce ~*

I found out about this place when i was reading someone else's blog. Reminisce in Mid Valley which is at the same row as Chili's and Spaghetti Grill. It's towards the end of North Court.

This place reminds me Otak-Otak Place at Tropicana Mall, with all the games we used to play when we were kids.

Look at the fan, typewriter and melodian. Especially the melodian, remember it?

Chef Recommendation Egg Fried Rice with Yam and Chicken
set that came with a drink (barley) and dessert (green bean soup) of the day. I seriously have nothing to yell about this except that the price quite alright for a set meal (RM9.90).

Meanwhile, i ordered a set meal that came with 2 light snacks, lemon grass jelly with aloe vera and drink of the day (barley).

The first snack was this Pan-fried Carrot Cake topped with chicken floss. Since it was pan-fried, as expected, it was crispy outside and soft inside. Chicken floss made it looked a little bit special but actually, it hardly carried any weight.

Second snack in the set was this Steamed "Chee Cheong Fun". I like the belacan. I still remember how bf kept on taking the belacan from me to be eaten with his fried rice. Hmph!

Apart from the two set meals, we, or i should say it is just me, ordered two more side orders.

Chef Recommendation Crispy Spring Roll (RM3.90) with creamy minced chicken as filling. But i hope it could be cheesy too. It will be more sinful that way and give me the real satisfaction. :)

Stuffed Pork Ball with Satay Sauce (RM5.90). It was just using stuff pork ball that we can get from night market or steamboat restaurant. They topped it with satay sauce. Ta daa!

The price is pretty reasonable for a place at Mid Valley but it really depends on what you order. Like the fried rice, i just think it did not worth it at all in any way. I guess the rest of the main course should be okay judging from the pictures i saw here. Again, it is at Mid Valley where things tend to cost a little bit more. Will i go back? Yes, for the main course i have not tried.

*~ Babysitting on X'mas Day ~*

Just a short post on what i did for Christmas.

Mum, bro and i went to Mid Valley with the three kids mum used to take care of. We did shopping!

Arcade will be a must if Eugene sees it!

Vin Shen helped accelerating and Eugene drove. In the end, they won the first place!

Super duper early dinner at Dragon-i.

Vin Shen and Yuin Nee. Like my mum said, Yuin Nee is photogenic though chubby.

The cheeky boy who never fails to make us laugh.

Siu Long Bao.
Vin Shen and Yuin Nee loved this and happily told their mum when they reached home.

La Mian in Hot & Sour Soup.
This soup reminded me of the sharkfin soup except that it was spicy. I wished they could have given me more soup.

Fried La Mian with Seafood.
It was so simple but the taste was superb with fresh sliced fish, shrimps and squids!

Afterall, this year's Christmas was not that bad. Got surprises. Although not the big ones, they still managed to put a smile on my face :)

*~ 1901's Pau & Ko Hyang ~*

Today, i met boyfriend later than usual because he had classes to attend. We went to 1901 for snack to try out the new product in conjunction of the Ramadan month. It had been a really long time since my last visit. I was missing it.

He wore this and he felt great because he got the attention. He was proud that people kept on staring at his shirt him rather than me. New shirt given by his friend.

Luckily i am not too f.ugly to stand next to him. Otherwise, i would have recommended him to only wear this shirt at home or whenever i am not next to him.

Coney Dog Pau.
Instead of sausage bun, they use pau.

*Arrrrrrr......!*

Addictive!

Last time, mum used to buy New York Chicken for me but now, i will go for other choices as well since they also offer chicken as well rather than beef alone. One set includes mashed potato and a drink.

We watched Up in the evening. Nice movie. We laughed all the way till the end of the movie.

Dinner was at Ko Hyang, The Gardens Mall. The Korean cuisine near Din Tai Fung and Cold Storage. The one next to San Terri Cottage. Boyfriend's idea to try the food there.

I love the anchovies. Whenever i have Korean food, i would look forward for that.

Jap Chea.
Glass noodle but it was not fried, i think.
At least i know it was not oily at all compared to other fried glass noodle.

Kim Chi fried rice.
A nice one. ^^
Ko Hyang uses brown rice to serve the customers. Even the Kim Chi fried rice i had used brown rice too.

~* Friday Lunch @ Delicious *~

After surviving just on buns for few days in college, i could finally have good food. Why buns? Breaks in between classes are not enough for me to have proper lunch. I hate eating a proper meal in a rush. I will feel very uncomfortable during lectures after eating until so full and i will be feeling very guilty at the same time because i am not doing anything else physically besides sitting in the class! Thus, eating buns is the best. Also, it saves my money! You know, especially when so many people's birthday are coming soon.

Anyway, yesterday was Mun Yee's birthday and today, Sharon, Seak Ling and i had lunch with her at Delicious, Mid Valley.

The birthday girl had Fish & Chips that she could not finish later on.

Sharon's Traditional Tomato Spaghettini.
Simple but yet this was tastier than the food i ordered!

Seak Ling's Mushroom Mascarpone Spaghettini with lemon zest, walnut and coriander.
I wanted to eat this always besides Smoked Salmon Angelhair but i did not order this because i don't like walnut! It was a very wrong decision! It tasted so nice and creamy with a little bit of lemon taste. Again, it was better than the one i ordered!

My Chicken Avocado with pesto on toasted country white (means bread la!). So, yes, i ordered this! "Healthy" is the only positive comment i can give here. It did not worth my money at all! The taste was not really there for someone who had been surviving on buns in college for the past few days. "Tasteless". Oh ya, being foolish, i ordered something that had to do with bread again. I should have order any kind of the pastas and it would be still better than this, in terms of taste and value!

Anyway, take a look at the big chunks of chicken breast meat. @.@

Argh! I want to dine at Delicious again for its Smoked Salmon Angelhair! Bring me there!

Okay, picture time.

Mun Yee and Sharon.

Sharon with the nicely posed me.

Only four of us. Intimate enough. The number of people was also enough for a mahjong session.

Later on in the evening, Sharon and Mun Yee ditched us. Haihzzz... Haha...
So, i went dating with Seak Ling. We went to Kwong Woh Tong as she needed some herbal tea.

Yea man... The damn bitter herbal tea. Something i will not go for.

Eew~

After coming out from Kwong Woh Tong, we passed by Krispy Kreme and got free doughnuts! Wheeee! A consolation to me after spending on the non-value-added meal. A consolation to Seak Ling for finishing the damn bitter herbal tea.

Okay, back to my bun-eating days.

*~ Gathering At Spaghetti Grill ~*

Alright, yesterday i had a gathering with a bunch of friends at Spaghetti Grill, Mid Valley for lunch.

Since it is run by the same company than runs Chili's, i expected the prices to be similar to Chili's as well. I was right but they also offer customers with lunch set menu and dinner set menu at RM9.95 ++ and RM16.95 ++ respectively. The lunch set includes a main course and a bottomless soft drink of your choice; meanwhile the dinner set is the same but it also comes together with a dessert and soup of the day.

Hawaiian Pizza.

Salty Spicy Dory Pizza.

Aglio e Olio Pasta.

Fried Chicken Salad.

Seafood Pasta.

The people at the gathering.

Panjang and i.
He is real tall.

With Vienna.

Paulin who is leaving to Sabah for studies.

Panjang, Ripsta and Cik Pilie.
The 3 Musketeers.

They were really daring to pose for us.
No worries, they are straight.. err.... i think.

My very candid yet pretty picture.

And they failed very badly in imitating me.

Jie Juan at the back trying to destroy the picture.

I was there the whole day chatting with friends from 2 in the afternoon all the way until 7.30 in the evening before i joined my family for dinner. Pheww~
